I really like the dental care I get here so, it pains me to bring this up AGAIN… I’ve never had another dental office check blood pressure before being seen. I wonder if the staff realizes that if you come in on edge for a dental exam AND then see that they are going to take your BP with an inaccurate wrist monitor that THAT, ironically, will raise your BP! I had verified that my BP is normal after my last dental appointment—I was so upset with the false “high” reading on their wrist monitor that I went straight over to my doctor’s office and had them take it correctly with the old-school pump BP monitor where I’m sitting up straight with feet on the ground and my arm at chest level, not dangling down at my side. Of course, it was normal and I spent unnecessary time and a medical co-pay to find out what I already knew! For this appointment, I politely declined when the staff member brought out the wrist monitor and he just kept saying, “it’s just for here.” I’m not sure what he meant by that but, I have to be my own advocate for my health & wellbeing and my request to NOT have my BP taken should have been heeded. Especially since it doesn’t seem to make any difference what the BP reading is as I am still seen for my appointments. Again, I receive great dental care so, here’s hoping that the dental office will leave the BP readings to doctors’ offices.

The staff is always very helpful and professional. My most recent visit was I needed to be seen for a bad tooth, Jack got me in when I needed it most and made the situation much better. Thank you - Carlos
